This novel of 19th century Gothic literature has paved its way into modern society with issues concerning scientific hubris; in effect, the story portrays the effects of attempting to become a god. It focuses mainly on the Life of Victor Frankenstein an intelligent but insane scientist who tries to play God by creating a creature out of corpses.

Invisible talking in Shelley’s narrative turns to raising a number of challenging issues regarding responsibility, morality, and the underlying concept of life. It is still a gripping and thrilling read with detailed and likeable characters and is a must-read timeless novel.
